JACKIE & JEREMY FEFFER
Jackie and Jeremy Feffer set out to find a Jewish community where warmth, belonging, and shared values mattered more than anything else—and they found it at Shaarei Tikvah. After moving to Edgemont in 2014, the Feffers quickly embraced synagogue life, drawn by the spirit of connection, vibrant clergy, and the powerful sight of students confidently leading services. Jeremy has served on the Board of Trustees and as co-treasurer, helping guide the synagogue’s strategic and financial future, while Jackie contributes her time, legal expertise, and passion for community programs. Their children, Noah and Fiona, have flourished through Shaarei Tikvah’s teen programs and leadership opportunities, making the synagogue not just a congregation, but truly a second home.
HEATHER & DAN ZEITZ
Gate of Hope Honorees
Heather and Daniel Zeitz have been dedicated leaders and champions of Shaarei Tikvah since joining the community in 2010. Heather has served in numerous leadership roles—from PTA and School Board to the Board of Trustees and strategic planning—while Dan has helped guide the synagogue through pivotal moments as co-treasurer and a member of the Finance Committee. Their commitment extends beyond leadership, with both deeply engaged in the life and spirit of the congregation. For the Zeitz family, Shaarei Tikvah is not just a synagogue—it is a vibrant center of connection, tradition, and home.

SHARI FAYER
Yad V'lev Emerging Leader Award
Shari Fayer quickly became a vibrant force at Shaarei Tikvah, stepping up to co-chair The Party soon after joining the community. An event planner and founder of Fayer Events, she led the synagogue’s signature celebration from 2022–2024 and continues to shape its spirit. Shari is married to Jared and together they have two children. She also serves on the Board of Trustees and as co-chair of the School Board, helping strengthen connections among families. In recognition of her dedication and leadership, she is the recipient of Shaarei Tikvah’s first Young Leadership Award.
